I originally posted this in the VAS forum, but thought it should probably be here to get an official answer.
The Reader's Digest (abridged) version:
Aside from the obviously large, multi-engined aircraft (though in light of the Doolittle Raid, the 'launching of' could at least supported), which aircraft specifically cannot be used as replacements for aircraft carrier based planes (for those nations that have carriers)?
