Greetings,

Following is a useful little link I came across recently for anyone curious as to how the different ships in B5 compare in size to each other. The site listed is primarily centered around the EA Warlock-class destroyer. The size charts in question, there are four, are very clear and cover mostly Earth Alliance vessel, Drakh, and a few IA/Minbari ships. A very useful reference for giving your players a visual to go by.

Sincerly,

Well thank you for the link Mify, and welcome aboard!

It's sad the site has not been updated since July 21st, 2002, though.
It also host the Tim Earl's controversial "official" size charts.
Those have been critized by B5 Wars experts like ShadowScout...

Yup :)

Just for balance and indeed reference try this link (well argued IMO)

http://www.meshweaver.com/Craft_Comparisons/Craft_Comparisons_1.htm

The main thing is that Tim Earles "official" sizes don't all work (some do, the Warlock realtive to Omega, Nova and Excalibur do forinstance) and need some reinterpretation. The main set that doesn't work are those for the Whitestar and his figures fly in the face of how it was depicted in the series.

Anyway, Mify's link is still a good link (as is http://www.b5tech.com ), just go in wary :)

Exactly.

Take everything there with a big grain of salt. And especially DON'T take Earls size figures as the word of the great maker just because he worked on B5... trust those who thought it through, you'll avoid a lot of troubles...

But once you do that, and keep the bad info out of your mind, the rest of the material can be quite nice for fleshing out your campaign.
