So, I just picked up Aliens of Charted Space 2, which deals with the Solomani among other races.
I was disappointed not to see anything on 'official' uplifted races, the Dolphins and the Apes, in the book. Did I miss it somewhere? There was some discussion of their place in Solomani society [not much higher than the animals they were bred from, frankly] but nothing on actually generating or running one.
I ask all this because one of my old MegaTraveller characters was 'Angry' Ivan Erwin... pissed off Uplifted Ape who fled the Confederation. I had an awful lot of fun breaking things in half, growling menacingly, and writing with my feet. Seriously, an Ape with a Strength of 13, Brawling 3, and Shotgun 2 wasn't something that many people would muck with in the average Startown. And I got along with Suerrat splendidly!
