Unpainted Battlefield Evo figures?

Me thinks this sounds like a good idea.
(to make an option of unpainted - or at least just mold-coloured - models)

Shouldn't it be better if Mongoose just puts out the rules only and let the players to use whatever figures they have? WW2 Evo will definitely go well with Corgi.

The problem with that is that a company makes far far far far far more money off selling mini's than they do selling rules books.

For something like Victory at sea, it works fine, since its a hard market to break into, and its a side project, but this is a flagship product for them

The painting is a part of the manufacturing process. I don't know exactly how it works, but I think I remember mention that it wouldn't be cost effective, at least until the game really took off. Even if they did unpainted, I don't think Mongoose's costs would drop enough to pass on any real savings to the customer.
