why are the US Marines wearing desert BDUs but the British and Chinese are not?

also will units be re-released down the road with a different camo unifrom
(Marines in digital woodland uniforms)

I suspect that changing the camouflage will necessitate a repaint job which rather defeats the point of having prepainted figures. I could of course be wrong and there is already a good selection of ultra modern and Sci Fi figures about in a variety of scales from other manufactures and modern uniforms are not that hard to do really as such things as digital camouflage patterns for instance tend to be lost in the scaling down

I had wondered the same thing, but I doubt they will repaint the USMC any time soon. Then again, maybe the US Army will be done in a forest camo.

Of course if this game really hits it big, I imagine it would be possible that Mongoose might consider doing some repaints of the originals.

US Army has its ACUPAT digital uniform which it wears everywhere now.
it's supposed to be good in the woods, and in the desert, and in urban environments etc...

US Air force is switching over soon as well. A gray/green/blackish digital tigerstripe uniform. Not intended so much for the field environment, but they didnt really take their STS / SFS / PJ / SAR / Raven folks into account as "ground combat support operations are typically undertaken by less than 3% of the Air Force structure" (read: so we don't count).

Maybe they don't want to have them all in same camo but rather have matched pairs? USMC-MEA, PLA-EAF.

With middle-eastern conflict US is ATM that is obvious enough camo for them...As for EFA maybe they wanted some other colour scheme just to make things more interesting.

Matt hinted IIRC long time ago that there might be alternative colour schemes if demand is there(when whole Evolution thingie was first time introduced).

i was reading a report on the digital patern camo employed by the americans, basicly it came out as, looks great on a fashion catwalk but is bledy use less in the feild against the mark one eye ball as it fails to disguise the out line from a ditsance,

go swiss camo if you whant some thing effective , unfotunatly it looks crap as day wear.

also try the russian emobia camo style, they were the first troopps in WW2 to employ camo, but only for specialist units as production was limited.
