Unfair cost for Klingon C10 heavy DN

I have to admit that I am perplexed by the freakishly unfair points cost for Klingon ships in the last tweaking of Fleet update#2. In Federation commander, a federation heavy dreadnought is valued at 276 pts., While the Klingon C10 is valued at 278 points. Yet in the latest version of Fleet update #2, the Fed DNH went from 345 to 360 points whilst the C10 went from 350 to 415, a 65 point increase compared to a 15 point increase for the Fed, And is now only 5 points less than the 420 point Federation battleship. A ship with command +2, 45 Shields eight FA photons, etc. Can someone not see that this is unfair? I also feel that it was unfair to raise the old Klingon DN the C9, to 345, just 15 points below the Federation DNH. My friends and I are going to continue to use the original points cost in the first iteration of the fleet update #2 as we feel the overall points disparity there is far less then the update of the update#2. And I do not feel that this unfair increase in points can be justified by the fore arc double shield rule On these Klingon chips. The arc that benefits only applies to one part out of four, and overall the shields on these Klingon ships are less than those of their federation Counterparts anyway. Please, might I request that there be no unnecessarily harsh responses to my comments? This is my first real post. -:-)

I haven't played for a while. But first I'd assume the turn of 6 on the Fed DNH is a typo. The other DNs there have turn 9, and the source material doesn't have the DNH being any better.

If the the turn of 6 is a typo, then I'd say the 45 pt difference is not far out. A ship that can only turn once a turn can have massive problems. Ask all those who thought Gorn with lumbering was really bad.

The Klink has a smaller shield, by just 2 points though, but a better hull and noticeably better crit rating. It needs 2 points more to kill, if you hit it through the sides, but 38 pts more through the front, that is pretty siginifcant. Better arcs on its weapons, more drones and longer range heavy weapon.

I won't say the points on either ship is correct, to long since I played, but the 45pt difference feels far more correct than the 5pt difference you are saying it used to be.

If it is turn 6, then the points should maybe be closer.

[edit] - just checked the original DN in the rule book. That has turn 6 as well, but lumbering. Lumbering has gone now. Was there some change to the DNs turn to make up for loss of lumbering? or is the turn 9 on the other DN variants in update 2 the ones looking odd?

In the SFU, the Fed DNG, DNF, DNH (and DNL) all have superior turn rates compared to the earlier Fed DNs. The difference in turn rate (Turn 6 vs. Turn 9) reflects that.
