If so, the late war pack will cover you for less money most likely (You'd have to get the Gatos and Texas BBs seperately).

I would suggest picking up some cruisers. I'm at work w/o my book, so I can't give you a specific recommendation, but I'm sure others can!

Not sure if you will ever REALLY need 2 Iowa class battleships. Generally one sledgehammer is sufficient to destroy your opponent's fleet! LOL!!

Atlanta, Pensacola and New Orleans are good cruisers. Brooklyn is also an option I think, in VaS, as are Portland. Just watch out for the sharks with the latter!

yes the downside to VAS is that you can pick a fleet without points which is very unbalanced for tournaments
