Two questions on vehicles/spacecraft

Hi all,

I have two quick questions:

1. What is the maximum atmospheric speed of starships/spaceships? Is that listed and I'm just blind?

2. How do you figure out the acceleration of vehicles? In other words, where is the mechanical difference between your mom's minivan and your rich buddy's Lotus/Ferrari/etc.?

A 1: C, granted it won't be going in atmo for long if the ship is moving at any healthy fraction of C either through the subtraction of the ship or the atmo or both...

Heh. Sorry, I was actually looking specifically for the max atmospheric speed.
