You have to be careful there as hull 6 is probably a bit too much. I'm in favour of that sort of change but you'd have to tweak the damage score/weapons too to keep it in check.

It would be an ideal change that would give more reason to use this ship and also it fits the short description in SFOS. I think most Minbari players would love Mongoose to make this change in ACTA version 2.

I think the stealth is fine particularly with the new rules. The ship will close for a brawl and be at 3 stealth during most fights. As for damage, I think it's got plenty for a Minbari ship. The more I look at it, the more comfortable I am with it just the single change.

I've also been thinking how good it will be to see a "new" Minbari ship on the tabletop, which will happen, I think, if it gets this simple fix.

Hull 6 as the only major change seems reasonable, I agree that you might need to tweak stealth/damage around as well though.

Hull 6 and no other changes makes it a slower, slightly lower in firepower version of the Neshatan. A good, solid battle level ship and an alternative to the specialist Morshin and the all-rounder of the Tinashi/Shantavi.

Leave the stealth alone - Minbari should be 4+ or 5+ (and I'm an advocate of 6+ on any new ships).

I have ben trying t figure out away to fix the othr lemon'sin the Minbari fleet: the Neshtan(SP) and Vesthan (SP), what do you tink of Twin linking the Nestan Mini's, levaingit otherwie the same, and then making the Veshtan aduplicate of teh Nestan, only stripping it of the neutron laser's--basiccaly a mirrow of teh Tinashi--Ashinta pairing, only bigger and with Hull 6. Would give the Minbari 2 sluggers, but should't totally unbalnece the fleet.

EDIT: I think the Trolign as a Hull6 is a exllent idea.

By my reckoning the Troligan if it had hull 6 would need a slight reduction in hit points - to about 47/6 damage and 55/7 crew.

As for the Veshatan/Neshatan - the Veshatan is very nicely balanced but the Neshatan could do with a slight boost and I'd go for what the tournament list version did: make its fusion cannon twin linked.

Yeah I have run the numbers on these and simply raising the Troligan's hull to 6 is definitely too much (although not by a lot!)

How do you run the numbers? You know some secret formula?

Well it is a little complicated (and not everyone agrees that it can be done - I believe it at least can tell you if a set of stats are "close" to balance or not). Basically through calculating various average effects I've worked out certain values for each trait and stat (such as the average number of beam hits, value of a hull score, weapon range, etc).

It's actually a far less a part than you'd think with the game mechanics A Call to Arms uses.

However you are right to some degree and that's why you have to use a modicum of common sense too. In this case the ship is actually very similar to the Veshatan, Tinashi and the rest of the Minbari fleet in function (being a bit tougher or shootier makes little difference) so direct "points" comparisons are pretty easy to make.
