Traveller Release Schedule 2026

The information here and on the Release Schedule page regarding “Misjump Adventure 1” differs.
It isn't mentioned here at all any more, but according to the Release Schedule, it's coming out next month. Which is correct?

That would be my expectation. Matt already said that they pushed some things back off the release schedule to make room for Dark Conspiracy work.

Misjump Adventures did seem pretty interesting as a concept, but I'm sure we'll see it eventually.

But I'm in the "yay, Dark Conspiracy!" group, having played the original back in the elder days, so... :P

I stay away from horror genre, just not my bag

I want non-location specific adventures to drop into my sandbox game. And vignettes too - I have just about every 3rd party vignette publication

What I don’t want are more FFW style or lore based books. We play for a few hours most weeks and packing as much “game” into each session is my preference to playing mega-theme war games in space

Mongoose is not "The Traveller Publishing Company", even if Traveller is it's best selling product line. It has made a number of games over the years. Paranoia and Shield Maidens are actively supported. And there is 2300 and Pioneer, which you may or may not consider to be "Traveller". It owns Dark Conspiracy, Twilight 2000, and probably other games I'm not aware of off the top of my head. Granted, Fria Liga is licensing Twilight 2000 from them, so they probably aren't going to start making products for that any time soon. But it is not in their interest to have all their eggs in one basket and only make a single game.

I don't begrudge them making things I'm not interested in. I'm not likely to play Paranoia or Shield Maidens, for instance. And within Traveller, I'm not likely to play any "epic" stuff like Things of the Ancients or Singularity or Deepnight Revelation or Pirates of Drinax. I don't build my campaigns around a single storyline like that. On the other hand, people who are not me really like those things. I'm disappointed with the types of products they are releasing for the 5FW, but not that they are doing the war. I have reason to believe there is an audience for FFW stuff, even if I'm not part of it.

And I find it more fun to talk about things that I like and read about things other people like than to read about the things other people don't like. Obviously, I don't have any control over what people post nor do I want to have that kind of control. I do think posting "don't make stuff other people like, only make stuff I like" is kind of not useful. Mongoose needs to make a wide variety of products if it wants to keep an audience that will sustain the company.
