Trait mystery-

Mongoose
Hey guys- got a question-
been looking at traits and think the trait "scout" is nifty - problem is I can't find 1 ship in the book that has it- am I missing it somewhere? I don't even see it as an option for ships to take, for scenarios or campaigns-
who's got it?

Well we nearly had the scouts in the latest Captains Log but they were pulled at the last minute.

Basicly there are, as yet, no scouts or survey cruisers or Drone bombardment ships in the game. The trait is there but the ships have not yet been published.

I don't think it has been said which book they will be in or if we get them sooner via pdf type updates. Lots of Fed players waiting for those killer photon rerolls

Matt,

Can you tell us where (in what media) scouts will be published?

In the A Call to Arms Journal. The rules will be coming in Battle Groups later this year, but you'll get a chance to use Scouts early.

Photon re-rolls? Count me in.

The scout gets to lockon and allows the rerolls of a single weapon system from any ship attacking the target. Since Fed ships tend to have all those photons in a single line that counts as a single system so you get to reroll all the misses.

Its scary at long range since you hit on a 5 with a 6 being a penetrating hit, then all the rolls of 1-4 you get to roll again. Double the chance to get those through shield Photons. Toasty Klingons anyone

More details next month but, in a nutshell, an S&P spin-off. Not necessary to play CTA,but hopefully interesting and useful.

Solomani stuff, the Traveller adventure, 2300, fleet boxes, MJDs new books and now an ACTA journal.

I Should just ask my boss to send you my pay direct
