I've just started work on an ape gang (couldn't resist), and I've already got two of the Doctor Apes from Dreamblade to work on, as well as the Ape box set and two Ape Mobsters. I've been hunting around for more gorillas, and it looks like it would a toss-up between this and the Team Frog mini set for me.

I'd be tempted to say go for the Team Frog stuff. Unless your desperate for a Top Dog ape.

Might be worth checking out the Karmans figures from Rackhams AT-43 if you're also looking for some heavy duty apes.

Well, I'll be modifying the Dreamblade monkeys to wear a nice mobster suit and hat, so they'll be the Chimp punks, while the metal minis in the box set will be the juves. I'm definitely going for the Italian Mob feel for the gang, with the guys at the top smartly dressed.

If after this I ever need to expand the Ape gang further with more Gorillas, I'll probably go for the Team Frog Ape set.

It's a shame that McFarlane's Cygor isn't available as either a 25mm or 28mm miniature!
