Tiger bugs

I've just had a disturbing thought...
With the new version of SST will Tiger bugs still be available as an unit choice? Or have they been phased out of the rules?

I asume they will still be available. Maybe in a form that is a bit more usable (as the current Tiger Warriors do not really make sense).

I always thought they were one of the more useful things added in the Arachnid rule book tbh, better than say the spider bugs for example.

Correct me if I am wrong---apart from being "warrior bugs set to yellow mode"---they're practically identical to Warriors except they have Piercing/2 instead of Piercing/1 and they move slightly faster?

Especially as they can move up to 21" if given a co-ordinate.
But I think the most nasty way to field them would e as a tunneling unit.

I plan to field something similar - a unit of 5 Guards attached to a burrower (and they can even charge after having burried out).

But Tigers are much cheaper and do not need a burrower, so I think if they tunnel they can be pretty useful. Otherwise they get shot too fast.

I don't really like Tigers because of their vulnerability. I don't think they're worth it because the better speed and melee do not justify the higher cost and same vulnerability compared to Warriors. I count my Tigers as Guard Bugs, as per the computer game, in which Tigers are fast, mean, tough- essentially Warrior 2.0 :P

boo.... they would be much more viable if it was move 8 instead of 7... and Im very anti-Odd numbered move values lol
