Thumbs Up For The Metal Bases.

I just received 1 of the new large metal bases today.
Very impressed.
Heavy, strong and the tip is smaller for insertion into the model.
Meaning less drilling.
These bases will be excellent for the large heavy ships (no more breaking stems!).

Now for the bad news.
I ordered 20. They sent me 1. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
Why wasn't i suprised? :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

i got one with an omega and its quite possibly the worst ACTA stand i have! Its the least best fitting, the hole in the base is much bigger than the stem, and i found it much harder getting the metal stand to glue to my model than the usual plastic stems

a little extra effot and brass rod works wonders. get a different size to match your model.

I just install screws joints. The female side goes into the ship and the male goes on the plastic stand. That way, if the stem breaks, I can simply replace it stem.

Dont like metal bases, im staying with my plastic ones (Im not glueing them in)
