The DBC Nasty Rumor thread.

Mongoose
I'm sure DBC will let us know his reasons for leaving if and when he wants to (in fact he may have already in his Blog - but that only takes steam away from this threads ulterior motives, so don't read it). In the mean time I figure we should all do what we board junkies do best in these cases:

Make stuff up.

This thread is to spread incomplete information, rumors, and outright lies.

I myself have heard the real reason he is leaving is that he was let go when it was discovered he was stealing massive amounts of Duck Mini's from the offices. My source tells me that what he was doing with these is best left unsaid, but it was disturbing to say the least.

Anyone else have some inside information?

Your information isn't true. In fact , he left because he feared the Saxons and then the Vikings would invade the coast of Britain. He prefered to live in the country as an insider than being victim of a raid and he took the ducks to open a trade in Norway. Better to sell and make some money than being looted.

Unortunately for Aaron, these were still in the original packaging, and whe he unloaded the lorryload of miniatures, it turned out he didn't actually have enough miniatures to field a trollball team, let alone retire somewhere warm. That's why he has been sold into slavery in the frozen North...

I'd heard that he had been kidnapped by people traffickers whose clients, a group of renegade Zistorites, are trying to build a vast steerable solar array using the shiny domes of bald headed men.

He has been temporarily replaced by an evil robot double, and the Norway story planted to enable this to be withdrawn before its limited programming goes awry and it slaughters the entire Mongoose staff with a motorised pencil sharpener....

Yep, that's what I heard too

This season, I'll mainly be worshipping, if that is the right word, Buserian. Only another 17,000 words...

Long essays, long deadlines... It's "reading week" soon, so hopefully that number will fall significantly again during the next couple of weeks.

C'mon guys, this a serious thread. Can we get back on topic?

I think the fact that DBC is moving to be closer to Trif certainly has some legs...

Just like Trif himself, in fact. At least six.

And yes, it IS true that Trif and DBC are actually building a top secret bunker modelled in part on the Castle of Lead, from which to mastermind the forthcoming Beetle-apocalypse. In Norway. With funding from an unknown and mysterious 'computer games' company...

Though not as many as Trif, ho ho!

It's the way I tell'em.

I nominate Ninth as the official Frank Carson of the board.

Ravings from a lunatic I assure you. Don't listen to him and just go back to enjoy the endtimes now.
