So, looking at both, it looks like insulation board with light sand. Spray paint light tan and grey. drybrush. Hand paint traffic lines. Done. Sound right???

I think my FLGS uses housepaint or lots of craft paint with sand mixed in to give the blue/pink foam texture.

I like housepaint, just make sure it has a lot of time to dry.

Our stores in the states carry a sand paint, that I have used for SST, it works great and is per mixed and colored to your specs, I have asked if the get a bad color of the stuff that can not be used to call me, as its lik 24 a gallon, but a gallon goes a long way, and it looks good.

For water I am using Woodland senics pouring water the no heat stuff, just remember to put it down in light laryers as a deep pour will add bubbles.

For buildings I am working on some wall sections that I can then cast to make some of them, and then use paper/card buildings mounted on the thin preglued tile, if I want it decorsted like a church, or just mount it on artist boards, that match the size, much thicker thsn poster, but stronger and thinner than foam core.

Good luck to all of you,
The thread Scale on the fourms has some info on what we know so far.

Do you love painting miniatures, but hate basing figures ? Are you like me, having painted the models, all you want to do now is get them on the table quickly ? Then "Brushscape" is the solution.

Brushscape is a water based textures paint that is designed to create ground work effects simply and easily. It is self adhesive, and can be applied by brush, and dries to a hard, slightly flexible, gritty surface. Ideal for dry brushing or just varnishing. While still wet it can be further roughed up with the other end of the brush. Brushscape is non toxic, non flammable, and you can clean your brushes with warm water. This is really is the ultimate basing product ever invented.
