T20 ships to MgT 2E?

Has anyone converted any of the T20 ships to MgT 2e? I was looking to do some of the Golden Age ships and the Fighting ships of the Solomani

Probably not on a one to one basis; you can probably get the flavour, but different editions would have different formulas and optimizations.

I did a conversion for the Samurai class Heavy Patrol Cruiser as an experiment, and am told it's under consideration for the next Journal, the deckplans to be laid out by a third party.

As an example, I wouldn't have designed a thirty tonne fighter Viper class fighter/bomber/dropship under Mongoose Second rules, I would have increased it to thirty five.

Love those books. I've done a Solomani Standard SDB and the Imperial Tiananmen-class battleship.

I created MgT 2e versions of the Sindallian naval forces based on the descriptions on the Travellerrpg Wiki page https://wiki.travellerrpg.com/Sindalian_Empire#Naval_Forces. It was not too difficult but much of the information was either missing or not covered by the MgT ruleset. It was the 13 listed military ships, plus the Wyvern and a 20 ton fighter. It did not take very long to do.

They may never be used in play but I have a Merchant Cruiser converted for deep space salvage/recovery nearly ready in my PoD game and I am hoping the GM will allow us to find a few of them drifting around at ancient battle sites.

Might be a more popular past time if there was a conversion table for various components, such as armour and spinal mounts.
