Blurb

This is a refit of the familiar Dag'Kar, after many Narn commanders complained of a weak hull, and little armament on the Dag'Kars flanks. It was also noted that that the Narn fleet lacked a long range support platform, compared to other craft from other races (the Sagittarius being a good example).

With that in mind, the Kha'ri, commisioned the construction of the Dag'Rakar. The mine tubes were replaced with Ion Torpedoes, and the Existing Torpedo tube, was replaced with a Pulsar Launcher. The Pulsar were chosen, since its power requirements matched that of the predecessor. To help with the weak flanks, the troop barracks were replaced with a hangar, accepting 1 flight of Frazi.

Its performance in battle, has yet to be tested, or win over Narn commanders.
 
Quite an interesting design there, quite like it, I think it would see a lot more action than the current standard Dag'Kur version.

When Hiffano and I did the Narn supplement I designed a test bed for E-mines as it's mentioned that the Rothan was the test bed for many weapons systems.

Ron’Kar E-Mine Destroyer

The Ronkar E-mine prototype destroyer was one of the first vessels to mount the newly developed E-mine weapon. Being a Rothan variant it still mounted some of its original weaponry, but heavily downgraded, so it was still capable of defending itself although if attacked by similar sized ships it struggled to hold its own The success of the energy mine on this vessel lead to it being mounted on many more newer vessels.
Although this variant’s life was short lived it proved that the weapon was viable and usable. One of the ships to most benefit was the maligned Dag’Kur bombardment frigate which in turn became the present Dag’Kar. Most Ronkar’s were retro-fitted into Rongoth’s and a few back to their original form of the Rothan. Many captains still boast about commanding one of these ships and therefore leading the way in a lot of Narn space combat still to this day.

I've always thought the D'Kar should have more ion torps, as it's called a missle frigate not mine frigate.
