Suggested rules changes for sensors and stealth

Improving sensor range bands to determine details detected do not stack i.e. you cannot add a extension net system to a distributed array.

Along with their current benefits, stealth reduces the range band details can be distinguished by 1, superior stealth reduces the range band by 2.

They don't stack as it is? Arrays extend Minimal by one rangeband for radar. Extension Net extends Limited and Full by one rangeband for all sensors.

The best sensors are Visual and Thermal. Radars will not do anything except give our position away, so no one will use them?

Shallow Pen can see everything at Very Long range anyway?

I'm all for enhancing stealth, but getting into Medium range to get even Limited detail is a bit much? Most ships would need to get within 1 km (Adjacent) to get Full detail. We can still shoot at the stealthed ship at Distant range, right?

What I would want is to not be detected at all. Say a cumulative -1 DM to be detected per rangeband over Long for all stealthed ships, that would be -3 at Very Distant and would give a fully stealthed ship a good chance of not being detected at Very Distant range.

With current rules military sensors will see nearly everything at Far range. The detail may be very minimal, but you will be detected, even with superior stealth. Assuming sensor +2 signal proc +4 operator +6 (skill-2,augmented) = DM +12 and stealth DM -6, the sensor task has a DM of +6 and will succeed at Formidable at a roll of 8+. For each sensor in the system. You will be detected.

If I can detect you and you don't have a transponder or answers hails, you are considered hostile and will be dealt with?
