WAR IN IRAQISTAN!
WESTERN AGGRESSION OR LEGITIMATE INVASION?
February 15th 2022.
REUTERS - War has broken out again in the Middle East today, with the arrival of 25,000 European and American troops deployed to the newly created Arab state of Iraqistan. These troops have been dispatched following the MEA's decision to curb oil slaes to the west.
In response to the invasion, the newly formed PLA has moved to the northern border of Iraqistan and demanded the immediate withdrawl of the invaders under threat of China's involvement in the conflict. Military analysts believe that their presence in the area is simply to seize control of the oil fields for the People's Republic.
The former Iraqi nation is no stranger to conflict having suffered two western invasions in the last thirty years. How the current situation will play out is anybodys guess.

USA - The United States of 2022 is heavily dependent on the oil that it buys from the Middle East. When the Iraqistani government decided to curb oil sales to the west, President Rush dispatched troops to secure the area and ensure America recieves it's "fair share."
EF - Affected just as badly as the US, the assembled nations in the European Federation voted almost unanimously to secure the northern province and it's oil reserves. Troops were dispatched immediately following the vote. Military analysts believe that there may come conflict between the US and the EF over the oil fields eventually.
MEA - To the rest of the world, the MEA are a terrorist outfit rather than a military force defending the Middle East states. The MEA had mobilised it's troops in preperation for their decision and it has been prooved right. Any invading force will meet tough resistence.
PLA - China sees the current hostilities twofold. On one hand, it's a perfect opportunity to show the original US super power just how great the People's Republic has become, and if things work out as they plan, they recieve the oil supplies that the west would got. Unfortunately, the government of Iraqistan wants Chinese involvement as much as they want a protracted war with the US and the EFTF.
