Starting a Campaign

When you start a campaign and roll up the strategic targets does each player randomly start with one or is the a system basically a free for all with all strategic targets available?

genarally a free for all, although their is nothing to say you can't give everyone a homeworld each.

ah okay cool.

So if you buy a space station with your starting fleet points would you basically assign it to the first strategic target you capture?

You normally can't buy a space station as part of your starting fleet precisely because you have no where to put it on your first turn.

Nothing to stop you doing what you suggest if all your players agree though :)

I would say you have to spend double FAP's to buy the station, because normally you'd have to spend double RR. (or is it triple?)

A Shadow cloud is going to be a wee bit expensive then...160 RR if double, 240RR if trebled...

Ok, I can scratch the hope of *ever* using a Shadow Cloud in my current campaign...240RR!? Maybe if we last another 20 odd turns and no-one attacks me...

Page 2 of the SFOS FAQ downloadable from the main site.

Space stations cost triple and you may not start with one in your fleet.

(Off to repack SFOS into his bag for the tourney on Saturday.)
