And when you study new unit rather than quickly glancing through few trait words you have to read through small novel...

Not entirely, VT. I didn't sit down and compare stats of range and damage between the versions.

how? before you know the rules by heart you have to check the rules in book anyway, and it takes less time to read the card description that open the book, look for the page with the rule, and then read it. after that you'r going to know the basic rules by heart anyway, and the more esoteric rules you'l have to check will be on the card instead of the book. so,what's the difference? and since you'll have to chceck the card in the first games anyway, since the rules are(to my understanduing)slightly different anyway, so your old knowledge of the rules will be only generally helpful. And you can be familiar with the game and know traits inside out but when new army is released with this system learning the invidual army is going to take out longer since you have to read, again needlessly, HOW the traits works rather than just WHAT traits weapon has precisely.
But it takes longer than just skimming through each trait. Now you have to skip lots of redundant text to find out wether weapon is piercing/1 or piercing /2 for example.
