So what to do?

Ok i cannot stand not having SST. I have a little army of bits left and now i want back in, what do you suggest?

1. Wait for the new (i danna think i can wait that long laddie :x )

2. Start again your painting was not that bad and you enjoyed it!

Haven't seen your painting, so I can't say.
But even if it was not that great I'd say "paint!".
Painting is learning by doing. If you never do, you'll never become good.

Haven't seen Your minis either, but since You've obviously used them and people didn't protest about it then they weren't badly painted for sure.
So my advice will be "go for it again!"

I would say paint and play mate. When the pre-paints do come out, take advantage of it (e.g. LAMI).

uhh pre painted models, that takes out most off the fun. i mean you get them put them together and paint them and then there something that you can call your own. pre painted modles removes the individuality out of them.
Oh are they all gona by pre painted or will you still be able to buy unpainted modles?
anywho start now so you can get an army that is you, not some persons army paid to paint them.

Well, my painting sucks, but I still do it cause it's fun in my oppinion. Pre-paints won't bother me as I'm still gonna conver 'em.

well it is not a bas idea because those long hours spent painting normal everyday bugs are boring as hell, but i ment for the more limited models, such as the brain or the queen cos id love to paint her.

Yet again - nobody said we cannot alter the pre-paint, no matter mas-production (LAMIs and Warriors) or specials (queens and such) ^^

All the existing kits will still be available to those who prefer to build and paint (but I'm guessing a lot of stores will only carry the new prepainted so you may have to order direct from Mongoose), not sure about new models.
