Skinnie venerable marauder

Mongoose
I just was curious if someone ever tried to build a skinnie venerable marauder. Since it was never fabricated from Mongoosepublishing some might have felt the urge to do so. Would this be a copyright violation to build one, or not? Just in case I would have done so, would it be a violation to post a picture of it here? I am not going to sell it anyway.

I thought it is a really cool figure. There is nothing comparable I found so far in other games, besides maybe that ugly Eldar war walker. Maybe someone else found some mini from other games which could be remodeled to be a SVM. Since MGP will not publish any new (or even old) minis I thought it might be nice to build some myself.

If you're doing it for yourself, then it's perfectly legal. If you're going to sell it as a skinnie venerable marauder, then not legal. but nothing's stopping you selling it as an alien mecha with a similar name.

yes i have..

in fact ive made 4 but only painted 3

Ok, here is my version. It is not painted yet, but everything else is finally in place. The legs are a little bit longer, than they were on images in books (you know where), but I wanted it to have more the skinny like look with long legs. The cannon on the left is also pretty big, but again I wanted it to look like having a big bang, as the laser on the other shoulder. Now I need to paint it. It is also nice, that one can remove the pilot, especially for painting.

Were those some kind of cliky model?

They look friggin cool

yup from mechwarrior, no idea what exactly it was i just found it on ebay and ordered 4 of them.

the conversion just required the cliky a venerable some snips a knife and superglue, no special parts required, you could literaly churn these out all day.

Yes, I plan to make more of those. But this depends on my time schedule. It took me about 3 days to get to this stage and for a decent painting I would say it takes about 2-3 days more with all the drying steps. Since I only got the weekends for that, it might take a while until I can do another one. And then I got some Grizzlys as well, which I have to put together and paint em. I applied some magnets to them as well as to the weapons, so I can swap them in whatever configuration I want, which is quite nice for trying some tactics. But again it needs time to adjust the atlas rig to the magnets.
