Size of Miniatures

Let me get this straight the miniatures are 1/65 so that makes them bigger than 20mm but smaller than 25mm?

Nope, they go well with true 25mm ranges http://www.displacedminiatures.com/strontygirl/image.html?galleryId=2188&imageId=19911 :)

ok so they are over an inch tall then

they are 28mm tall (just measured then :D ) and according to the all knowing and powerful google thats1.1023622 inches

There are a few true 25mm ranges out there still and they fit with them so I call them true 25mm, the copplestone figures are 28mm to most people and then they keep getting bigger. with figures claiming to be 28mm but a lot (GW like) bigger :)

1.1 inches eh, I see then what length are the vehicles and tanks, 3 to 4 inches long by an inch or so wide and 2 inches tall or something like that

 True 25mm, they really are, althrough once you get into a argument over whats a 25mm, or a 28mm etc its never ending. :)

For me GZG been out a while as 25mm so anything the same size as them is 25mm. :)

Actually I remember reading something somewhere (I know, that is really authoritative) that RR scales always measure foot to eye and Roy, one of our local train store owners confirms this. That may be the origin of these true 25mm models being taller than 25mm.

that aint it. Just scale creep pure and simple.

That and you have it backwards "true" 25s are smaller in scale that what most companies call 25mm. Later the scale creap got so bad, that companies started to make heroic 25s which were 28mm. Then they just called them 28mm and with time the scale creep came in again and now they run between 28mm and 34mm. Funny some companies when now up to the toy scale of 40mm. What is next. 2''?

Anyway welcome aboard and thanks for starting this correct size war again.

I think a lot of people only look on the first page, and if it isn't there anymore, it gets posted.

Some of us, me included, go for the easiest solution :D
