Signs and Portents Subscriptions....

Mongoose
I have looked everywhere but I would love to have the magazine, not in PDF format. Is it possibe to get your gamestore to order it or get a subscription to the magazine in paper form?

No,

The magazine is no longer printed, the last printed issue was #25, which is the only paper issue available for download.

Mongoose do still take orders for back issues, and some gaming stores might even have back issues on their shelves.

As for new content in printed form, that's a DIY thing I'm afraid.

I miss the printed issues, but now it's free. You don't get the ups without the downs

i prefer a paper mag i cn pick up in a shop.

i never missed an isue of harbinger from the shop, now its online i just can be botherd with it any more.

Actually, with our new printing facilities (a slight delay in their going online this week, due to, umm. . . stairs), a printed edition of S&P is a possibility. . .

It's funny, but over a year back as I was waiting for my first article to publish in S&P, I was eagerly awaiting the enjoyment of flipping through the pages to see my article. I have a computer store and use it to sell tabletop games as well, but with my own particular personal contradiction of being a book lover and history nut as well as a computer geek (paperless society and all that rubbish), I missed the opportunity to "touch" my articles, as they began to appear at (guess what?) issue #26. There are times when I just hate computers, you know?

In addition to, or instead of the freebie download?

Subscriptions? Free gifts?

would be nice if mongoose could do a few pages as standard for a wargames mag every month, that way they just submit their article and we can get it in paper and the magazine gets another article they dont have to write, and would help sell their magazine and increase their advertising revenue, every body a winner, bf-evo us perfect for this approach.

I'd pay for a paper magazine.

Little probably uninteresting story. My 8 year old found my old GW mags he thumbed throught them and enjoyed it. After I showed him the online and printouts I made of S&P frankly there is no comparison, the proper paper mag wins with him, and for me really. He asked me where the S&P magazines were even after seening them online. I don't get the GW mag anymore and Harbinger is not printed so I'm jonesing for a decent wargaming mag to read when my computer is off. My point is, a proper printed magazine is a sign of success I guess. However, if it ends up costing money and raising prices to cover it, please don't do it.

Being king for a second, I'd rather the wargame and RPG products be printed in different mags.

Lately I've gone back and re-read my old S&P mags and read articles I bypassed the first time. I've not yet done that for any of the downloads since I've printed out only the articles I can use. There's nothing like a good gaming magazine when there isn't anything new to read.

I would support a resurrection of the hard copy Signs & Portents - especially with the 2nd edition Conan game and (hopefully) the Age of Conan miniatures game forthcoming. 8)

Well I for one am very HAPPy with my download. Since I only play GOMC1, SST, and BFE I have NO need for the rest of the stuff in the magizine. I can download and print what part of the Magizine I wish. THAT is a HUGE plus for me.

This is one of the really big pluses for me, and one of the reasons I stick with MP. Don't ruin it, if you want to pay for it that is fine by me, but let the rest of us gamers catch a break, will ya?

same, download for me. if you want to you can always download it and print off the whole thing :) probably cheaper than buying one anyway.

But a properly printed copy just feels better, like playing a made in the USA Fender Strat instead of a Japanese Fender approved Squier.

I only would be intreasted in roleplaying but I would pay as have 2 shiny signs folders to be filled :D

I filled my 3rd one with cheap back issues 'doubsies' from my FLGS and the EN gamer issues that made it out.
