shadow in 20mm

hi all, as promised during 2008, i am going to add the shadow rst-v to the growing b/e side of our range of 20mm models.
i have now reached a point where i need the advice of those of you who will hopefully buy it.
armament?
what do you want, and does anyone have any pics or know where i can get some pics of the shadows armanets, the .50 hmg and grenade launchers are pretty obvious, but it is the javelin missile i need some pics of?
also what else does the rules have for it?
the mongoose model just has 2 big long boxes on the roof, what are these and are they all thats needed?

The Mongoose one uses either a GPMG (M249, same as the Humvee) or a pair of CKEM launchers (Kinetic Energy Missiles, next gen ATGMs). That's the two long boxes on the roof. Both weapon choices are optional, basic version on the list is unarmed.


EDIT: Just had a quick scoot around some of the defence analysis sites (looking for Javelin-armed pics). According to one, the Javelin "can be carried as part of it's combat load". That sounds to me like it might be stowed internally for it's passengers to use dismounted, rather than on a weapons mount.

Actually (as far as I understand it) the usual vehicle mounted GPMG is the M240. Very similar to the 249 in most respects, but firing 7.62 instead of wimpy 5.56.

I think you're right on the money about the javelin, though. Assuming it was accurate in Generation Kill many of the HMMWVs stowed an AT-4 behind the back-seat. The javelin could very likely be stored the same way in the Shadow.

I could only find one reference photo with a weapon mounted so any armament is speculation.

Based on current trends I doubt the RST-V will have a maned weapon mount, probably a (low profile) remote mount. Any of the weapons mentioned so far, plus the future versions (x307 and x312 IIRC) would be good options.

L.S. - There's several vehicles in the MC lists that vary from their real world equivalents (whether it's errors, game balance issues or changes since the rules were written or some combination is speculative). The defence analysis site that had the article on it stated that it had the option of GLs or MGs. Doesn't say anything about what type of mount they'd be on but the MG-armed one in the gallery just had a HMMWV-style setup. Doesn't mean that the production version wouldn't have some other weapons mount.
