When do the Shadows use the Fighter Dispersal Tube? During the movement phase or during the firing phase? We just finished a game and had them use it during the Firing Phase.

Since it's listed as a weapon, I'd say you do it in the firing phase. the Drazi have special catapult rules for launching some of their fighters, but they are listed as a special rule, not as a weapon, so they happen at the normal time for launching fighters.

In a quasi follow up. Do you HAVE to use the FDT when launching fighters or can you launch them as any other fleet does normally?

Wording in the rules in SFOS seems to suggest that the FDT is an optional method of deployment.
