SFOS - Identify this ship please.

If you mean this one:

ipshglob.jpg

Its an Ipsha Warship (sometimes refered to as a 'Battleglobe' or 'Warsphere')

Little is known about it or its technology though it MAY be the same race that built the great machine (or at least the ship of theirs that comes back to try and claim it in series 1 looks very similar...)

Looking forward to seeing this ship and some of the other lesser lague world ships. I wonder what typer of weaponary the warglobe mounts?

The ipsha use that big energic mass in the centre to power their ships' systems. Their guns are called 'energic blasters', and are generally pretty nasty all around.

Cheers,
Bry

The weapons sound nasty - so I would guess the ship can dish out a lot of damage, but would have limited arcs ( B & F) and be pretty fragile. Do like the sound of Energic blasters though :D

Not in our playtesting stuff for 2nd ed Bry, instead they're "focusser cannons", would be nice to get the wargame and the RPG agreeing on the name though!

Having just watched that episode, I think I disagree. There are actually four ships which (in some shots) look like one because they are close to each other and form four points of a square. Each ships seems to have quite blocky architecture, with no roundness or circles present.

That, and the fact that the dude who was at the centre of the great machine says he is the last of his kind.

Except the other guys on the ship ARE of his kind, just outcasts sort of (Im guessing its something like Romulans and Vulcans so whilst theyre technically the same species theyre not really the same civilisation).

But yeah theyre probably different, they just look kind of similar. Oh and it IS one ship still I think it just happens to be able to split into 4 I think (which is quite cool and would make another interesting mini to make, hint hint....) :D

I always assumed the ship was able to seperate for whatever reason.

The Voice In The Wilderness aliens were referred to as the Takarn by some fan fiction, though I don't know what the basis for that was; their ship separated into four sections to fight. They're not the Ipsha.

Oooooooooooooooh...........maybe they were constructicons?

I must admit, I hadn't considered the possibility that it split up, and that does make more sense.................
