The core book indicates that Mythic Resonance of a myth reflects its importance. And the higher the mythic resonance, the more easily a character can gain insight into a situation.
But, a higher Resonance indicates the myth is more difficult to enter, its challenges are greater, it can be more complex (more stations), and the rewards are higher.
I'm setting up my own myths, and other then assigning higher resonances to myths that are more core, I'm wondering if anyone has insight or rules of thumb into how best to set the resonance for the myths I write?
Having looked through the books, I don't see a lot of pattern to the Mythic Resonances there.
