Selling old Traveller books - is it worth it?

A friend of mine is downsizing and has passed on to me a bunch of old Traveller printed material -- a mix of Classic Traveller books, supplements, adventures, and double adventures, as well as issues of JTAS, Challenge, Traveller Chronicle and BITS.

I was going to put them on ebay or advertise them on forums like this (and pass on the proceeds, of course), but wondered if it was worth it? Complete sets of the CT publications, JTAS issues, and the like are available cheaply from FFE -- albeit only digitally -- and from a quick search on ebay it looks like they wouldn't fetch much. So I thought I'd check with people that have been involved with Traveller a lot longer than I have whether there is demand out there for second-hand printed copies?

Thanks,

Dan.

There's a collector's market out there, but the CD and download editions have put a dent in the value of old print copies. Some people simply like print, and some like collectibles, and they'll still buy books. But people who just want the words inside are likely to go for digital "reprints" instead.

If it's a good sized cache of stuff, the value of the collection could add up to a fair bit, even if each book is fairly inexpensive.

If you really don't want them, I'd say sell them. There's a collector's market out there, I've seen it. I have a friend who literally has multiple copies of just about every RPG printed in English taking up an entire room of his house. How many copies of the Fiend Folio do you really need Brad?! :)
