Scenery?

Ok, so im doing my best to get into this, and i just had a couple questions regarding tables and the scenery people use


I've found a pretty good stand in for a Hall of Justice (sort of... needs a bit more work before painting, its a converted shrine of the aquilla from 40k)

but im having trouble finding anything to use as habs, refineries etc

so...


was just wondering what every used!

home made? store bought?

I used my 40K scenary - and lots of it - we find Dredd works best with LOADs of cover

i combined the shrine with the sanctum imperialis to act as the interior (double doors with the eagle on, thought it fitting for the justice department )

its not exactly perfect, still needs bulking out a bit, right now its kinda just the front of it with an interior! no side walls :S

the aegis defence line struck me as something that could be used in the event of a riot =D nice barricade line (just remove the skulls)


its always the smaller stuff that i have trouble with... again like the hab blocks, no idea what i can use

the buildings used in the display pictures on the store pages for example, how were they done?

not sure - we use ruins and Necromunda bits and pieces - and it works fine

Foam fruit packing boxes cut up with foamcore floors make good ruins. There are firms out there doing laser cut foamcore 28mm buildings that are quite inexpensive too. We use Necro and Infinity terrain with a printed industrial map for city battles, and a realm of battle board and some home made shanty town terrain from an old Ash Wastes campaign for a cursed earth map. Even re-use the old Gorkamorka fort

Is there any chance of seeing the GOMC1 terrain as a PDF at some point? They were nice buildings and cars. Some of the best GOMC1 games I had were trying to take over Munces Burger Bar

There's a lot of Infinity style terrain that can work well for the Mega City, but I think World Works Games' paper craft stuff fits the bill the best.

I'm using WorldWorks scenery for my games at the moment, it works just great and it lets you pack out the table with buildings.

The only downside is that we had to come up with our own rules for moving and fighting inside buildings.
