SAS

Hi guys.
I was wonmdering if anyone had an idea how late in 2007 the SAS will be released. They're the models I'd kill for lol. Any input about them from whether mongoose will portray them as counter terrorist room raiders or recon soldiers. If any of the playtesters have any idea or any information (you can give lol) would be much appreciated.

Yes, that would be nice info to know as it can very well affect my decision whether to begin to collect USMC or EFTF army...

From the battle report in S&P I'd guess the SAS are in field kit, not CT kit. Black combats and MP5s aren't much use for anything but CQB, and this game isn't primarily focused on that.

Although I'm hoping for the black-clad "storm trooper" look as well... 8)

Coming out in March! And yes, they are very, very good :)

The USMC, of course, gets a Force Recon team, while the other armies have special forces as well.

Later in the year, we will also be adding SAS Sniper teams.

There will also be a special army coming out!!! where you only need 1 figure that happens to be unbeatable.......Ted Chang

Surely you jest.

Such an army would consist of Chuck Norris.

I'm going to just buy a smattering of European troops to blend in as allied forces. I NEED SAS, and a Brit squad or 2......

Apart from the special forces mentioned above and the french foreign legion, what other special operations do you guys think they will release.
Do you think they will do the US army ever, or stick with the marine corp. Dam mongoose for waiting us wait till march to get the SAS, lol, the special force miniatures add a whole new level of excitement to the game.
When do you reckon will see pictures of the SAS

I know I will have to field EFTF just because I want to use the Super Army Soldiers!

I hope the SAS are not painted into desert camo, though, or they will look funny with the woodland camo'd Challenger and British troops...

surely you jest, my good man!

why, when Chuck Norris does pushups, he does not push himself up, he pushes the earth down!

And he does not read, he stares books down until they give him the information he needs!

And who do you think taught Chuck how to do these things.....?

Ted Chang, although he gave Chuck a barely passing grade from the University of Ted.

In regards to the US Army, yes, it has been mentioned. As for what it will entail, well that's still being planned. Put it this way, though: The Army considers LW an "interim" system... ;)

Interestingly Ted has really met Chuck Norris. Ted has some experience of martial arts and was once presented with a competition medal by none other than Chuck himself. Small world, eh?

Damn, I knew I missed a good story that time you, Ted and I were all out drinking and it was my round at the bar. Darn those other drinkers slowing me down!

Hey I always pull my weight when it comes to buying rounds

Low-Roller still hasn't had to buy a pint in my presence since the CC incident.
