We have just posted Samurai of Legend on Drivethru, and it is now ready for you to download. You can grab a copy from http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product/108467/Samrai-of-Legend&affiliate_id=7242

Included are new professions and backgrounds along with advice on creating exciting characters, with which to explore this fascinating period. Also an in-depth look at the Shinto and Buddhist faiths, along with the variety of other factors that influenced life in Japan at this time. Predominantly, this book covers the rise of the Samurai and other martial classes and even gives the option of introducing Ninjas… not technically of this period but a whole lot of fun to utilise none the less!

Encounter the monsters and myths that have been the stuff of legend for over a millennium. Experience the Imperial life or that of a Samurai. Understand the importance of defending the honour of you and yours – no matter what it costs.

As with all core Legend books, this book is 100% Open Content.

Also keep your eye out for the companion adventure, Beneath an Opal Moon, also available from Drivethru, absolutely free!

Just bought the book tonight. I will read it in the morning.

I already love the adventure. It has a Harnmaster feel to it, weirdly enough.

Its meant as a homage to traditional Kwaidan stories. The Harmaster feel is curious; I can't think of a setting more removed from Heian Japan!

Glad you like it though. The scenario originally appeared in the Land of Samurai book for MRQ1 and, as far as I can see, only a few stats have been changed to reflect MRQII/Legend.

It was an interesting book to tweak, Loz. I attempted to keep the scenario intact and I love how it really does echo that story feel from the traditional tales.

How much different is this version from the MRQ I? Is the character creation layout similar to the core rulebook?

Thanks.
Mike
