Running Talislanta with MRQ?

Hey All.

I've been re-reading my 4th Edition Talislanta and had the idea of trying to run it with MRQ (Or possibly mixing in bits of other BRP games)

Am I insane? Has anyone else tried this (and if so, any pointers would be appreciated)

I've never GM'ed it myself but years ago I played in a game my friend ran in Talislanta using RQIII and I think some Stormbringer. Based on my experiences in that game I would say that you could use MRQ in a similar fashion.

Some of the races were a little problematic to convert since they don't have any real RQ equivalents but he was able to do it. That wasn't a huge deal because a lot of Talislantan races are different offshoots of human. I do remember he used dark troll stats for Kang because I ran away from them quite frequently.

Sorry I don't remember more, it has been a few years but it was a very enjoyable game so best of luck.

Yeah... the huge number of races is something I noted, but my main "worry" is that Religion in Talislanta is so fundamentaly different from Glorantha that the whole Animist/Theist/Sorcery Cults thing may need a major overhaul... more than might be worth it.

Still, I shall see what happens...

does religion in Talislanta grant magic abilities ? I think its easier to start with the crunch and work from there
