I apologize if this has been asked already, but the search function was less than helpful.
Both the Abrahms and the Challenger II tank have the tough ability, which allows them to ignore the first 4 failed armour rolls. Does this essentially mean that each of those tanks rolls for armour, but if they fail, it's just noted as a failure, and they continue on until they're hit again, or do they need to make a roll, and if they fail, make another roll immediately until they succeed or die trying?
As an example, the Abrahms fires at the Challenger II, and hits, but doesn't kill. The Challenger, because of the -4 to armour saves caused by the main gun, has a 6+ armour save, which it fails. Does the Challenger need to reroll immediately, or does it have 4 "hit points" before it is destroyed, so it can be hit and fail from 4 different attacks assuming that none of the attacks equaled the kill number for the Challenger?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
