RQ II SRD?

Hi,
it may be a dumb question,
but will there be an Runequest II SRD ?

The RQI SRD made me buy Runequest Deluxe
and I think I'll buy RQII if I could have a closer look on the
mechanics and general changes...

Unfortunately not - this question has been asked a few times on these forums, but the answer seems to be that the uptake of the MRQ1 SRD was too low to justify the administration costs for an MRQ2 SRD.

It's a bit of a disappointment, as several 3rd party publishers were hoping for one. My personal feeling is that the MRQ1 SRD was not that popular because the rules themselves were not that great. The second edition looks like it is a huge improvement, and I for one had a number of projects planned for this. Alas, 'tis not to be ...

However, MRQ2 appears to be an excellent book by all accounts, and I plan to get my hands on one a.s.a.p.

Well Openquest is out there and one could always make an expanded MRQ SRD.

I am disappointed by a lack of any sort of SRD for MRQII but Mongoose is open to more traditional licensing agreements from previous posts. I did find their truncated Traveller SRD limited and ironic after Mongoose put out OGL versions of the D&D 3.5 & D20 Modern core books + many complete OGL rulebooks largely verbatim from the SRDs. After the Traveller SRDs I'm not too surprised there's nothing for MRQII.

I just came back to this forum to ask that very question. People in the BRP forum are already talking about being excited for this SRD. Shame...I'm sure the reason the last one didn't have good uptake was because the rules...lacked a certain polish. I think things would be different this time.
