As a break from the work on Thirty Nights, Thirty Crimes -- Ronin Arts' upcoming 96-page city/adventure supplement -- I finished Six Bizarre Creatureshttp://www.roninarts.com/store/default.php?cPath=44, a 10-page PDF featuring six new and strange monsters.

Includes the kacer – a winged beast that consumes the power of runes – and the wizard’s shell – the melding of an evil spirit and the corpse of a deceased wizard. Each monster is presented on a single page so that a GM can print only the material he needs.

Available now at www.roninarts.com.http://www.roninarts.com/store/default.php?cPath=44

Hi Phil,

I just picked this up and it looks great. I was pleased by the inclusion of the Children of Yig. Is there any chance we could be seeing a lovecraftian monster book from Ronin Arts?

Maybe not an entire monster book but there will definitely be more cthulhoid-style horrors in the future. One of the encounters in Thirty Nights, Thirty Crimes definitely has the proper feel (and beast).

Looks good, pretty pictures, nicely laid out - one creature to a page, very good.

Thank you. Thirty Nights, Thirty Crimes uses the same format for the 30 NPCs (with one change; the artwork is on the facing page with the encounter since the character description and stats took up so much room). Still, GMs will be able to print two-pages at a time in order to have a ready-to-run encounter and those that just want NPCs will have 30 of them ready for play.

I picked this up and there are really some good ideas in there, not a bad little book the price.

I particularly liked the Megalyth and Stone Serpent (feeling the love for rocks at the moment I guess), they have given me some ideas I plan on using, possibly even in Glorantha.
