Repainted PLA Type 99 MBT (Pics)

Inspired by Elvis in Combat, I decided to paint a camo pattern on my PLA Type 99 tanks. Although I did not intend to, I ended up doing almost a complete re-paint. Here is my first one. Two more to go!

BuShips, those are the same palms (in bendy plastic) offered by Pegasus. Are you saying they can be had at cake deco shops for less $?

Good job, now what was the point in pre-paints, I am sure a certain friend of mine who raved about the ideas of pre-paint minis will be looking at your pics, then thinking about his Type 99s and already planning his own paint scheme.....

I'm in two minds about doing slight repaints on my own type 99 and maybe the faces of my PLA infantryman.

I wanna make 'em look better but I've got loads of other minis and terrain I need to fin at mo.

Thanks for the comments, all! Since I had committed myself by repainting one tank, I had to go ahead and paint my others. Here is the finished platoon on maneuvers. :wink:

I really like your color scheme selection. Repainting them was a good idea. They look great! :lol:

Very nice "pictures" as well. I have come to discover that taking a decent photo or two is much harder than I thought. Although that's probably just "me".
