Regarding the Shem sourcebook

Mongoose
To anyone who has the Shem book:

Is Zamboula covered in the Shem sourcebook?
What cities are covered in it?
How are the maps?

Just curious before I drop $$ on it.

Thanks

I just bought it (with the Stygian sourcebook).
Though I feared what might had been edited out to give 96 pages instead of 160, everything significant is in the book.
Of course I didn't read it, but I like the extrapolation of the golden peacock as well as the maps of some cities (even if I had prefered more).

I wonder what is not there that Vincent had submitted because I don't have the impression that anything is lacking. This is again a great book.

My only critic so far is the absence of a regional map which is somewhat weird for a regional sourcebook.

I agree, the lack of a regional map was very disappointing to me as well. I'm keep hoping that Mongoose gets its act together for some better/upgraded maps.

Yeah, the lack of a regional map is a serious negative for an otherwise excellent book. Mongoose's map issues are kind of getting to the point of ridiculous.

I think it's due to the editing out as Vincent has delivered a job equivalent to 160-200 pages.
I would have gladly traded the sickness table (which one can also find in the Stygian regional book) for a great map of the region.

I also learnt that the accursed city of Sabatea was far more developped that what is in the book. A real pity. I hope we find it in some issue of Signs & Portents.

I don't mean to sound like this is a bad product. Actually, it is excellent and everything a regional sourcebook should be - except the map. Other than the lack of a detailed regional map, Shem is a great book and very useful sourcebook.
