Reducing Troops on a Ship

I wonder if ships can loose Troops through normal Damage.
So if a Ship is on Skeleton Crew does it loose it Troops too ?
Or does it loose only half of its Troops ?
Or does Ships never loose Troops through damage, only through boarding actions ?

Sky Full of Stars doesn't say if you should round up or down. It only says the number of troops on board is halved.

I think the Revised Rules have a ruling that says 'Everything is rounded down'.

Matt has often said that all rounding, unless otherwise stated, is down to a minimum of 1.

Of course, the other way to reduce them is to use them. If, say, my troops-4 Targrath blasts the engines off a troops-2 Nova, and instead of holding position and gunning it up again, moves past it, Launches Boarding Pods and Shuttles and shoots at something else, there are now zero troop points aboard the Targrath. (Half measures be damned.) Send three, you're down to Troops 1. And so on.

It is half the remaining troops, SFOS P.20 says the "the number of Troops still onboard is halved"

WE alway sround down for numbers under 1 and up for numbers over so 5X0.5 would be 2 and 5X1.5 would be 8
