Ready, steady...GO!...Finished!

So I picked up my Shadow ships on Tuesday.

I got them all put together on Tuesday night...although I have to say the Scouts were a total nightmare. All those fiddly spines nearly drove me to insanity in one evening. I ended up with enough glue on my fingers to put together another whole fleet.

The Hunter was a breeze by comparison...and the Shadow Ship.

But that notwithstanding, they all looked pretty good when finished.

Wednesday morning got them sprayed black and then touched up to fill in the missed bits.

Following "Shadow Queens" painting suggestions, I drybrushed up with dark grey to light grey and then put on brown ink.

I think I will varnish them after their first game tomorrow. I will get some photos tomorrow to bore you all with...

I agree those scouts are a pain to build. I have the 6 that came with the fleet box and I think I'd rather lose than make more. At least the ships are easy to paint.

I used a white dry brush and blue ink. Then I toned it all down with transparent blacks. I'll post pics eventually.

you need a bigger base for the hunter (should of spotted it sooner) and get 6 more spitfires for the battle crab
