Rank Titles - Citizen Career

Just trying to get all the sad little "--" out of rank titles in the core rulebook. I am trying to cover ALL the careers and when done I'll have a couple page supplement with the titles. I just think a bit of flavor here helps players envision what their career progression means in terms of their prominence and former responsibilities.

Citizen is another career well covered in previous releases and they had a rank structure. Here are my suggestions for rank titles for Corporate, Worker and Colonist Citizens where the inspiration came from Classic Traveller Supplement 4, the Spica Career Book 2 and the Cepheus Engine Core rulebook respectively. By inspiration it means I've tweaked it from what appeared a bit already.

Worker has a tech focus in the rulebook, I like not committing on that so that many careers can be covered. Colonist seems to be getting quite politically prominent at high ranks, maybe so much that it doesn't make sense they'd be an adventurer unless disgraced or the colony failed.

Anyway, looking for suggestions about changes.

I might have swapped Assistant and Apprentice round. Both are beginners ranks, however Apprentice includes part-time college training, which Assistant doesn't. So, Apprentice could be considered higher.
There again, Assistant and Apprentice are "ranks" from different career paths. Assistant is more Retail sector and Apprentice is more Technician/Engineering. So, in that sense, they are not particularly compatible.

Also, agree with you that Explorer doesn't exactly equate with the political ranks that you have chosen to use.

There could be a difference between organising exploration of "known territory" and exploring "uncharted territory", so maybe more ranks can be found by considering that.

Or, the ranks could be more abstract, like Beaver, Sherpa, Adventurer, Lone Star, Team Leader, etc. Merely a suggestion for something off the beaten track you might to look at.

Have you ever worked in a Call Center? Everyone has a manager or supervisor title because people always want to talk to a manager. The brand-new hire with no experience? Entry-level job? Customer Care Manager.
