Question on cutting metal ???

Hi all,

I need to find something that will cut the metal tubing I am going ot be using for bases for my ACTA ships. What is the best method to use? I'm looking for a small hand-held saw or something like that. What are some good ideas to use here? Can I use metal-cutting pliers or is a saw best? :?: :?:

Thanks!

Chris

A small hacksaw with a fine blade should do the trick, not to expensive either, using pliers can bend the tubing, and depending on your method means the two tubes won't slide together. Ideally a dremel with the right blade is best, but failing that a saw :-)

A pliers will squish the tube, saws or dremels will cut the tube better, but I still prefer a tubing cutter which is usually available where you bought the tubing.

Agree with Star Ranger. I have been trying to think of what the damn things were called, but they are excellent at cutting tubes perfectly straight without bending them in any way.
