question concerning the kc9r mini

Ok so my romulan reinforcement box came in the post the other day so like the eager man I am, I started assembling the dreadnought. Two things I noticed, my box came with the ball and socket bases which was neat but confusing, and that the hull of the dreadnought had no place to attach the peg of the socket into. It did have a rather large semi sphere in the center of the main hull on the bottom that I cleaned off as best I could but I had to drill out a small hole in order to glue the peg in. My question is if the ship was supposed to be like that? Or has anyone else had their ship show up like that?

I think they are normally coming from Mongoose that way. Every C8/KC9R mini I have seen have the large resin blobs on them that need removing. I have yet to see one that had the mounting hole obscured, but I wouldn't rule it out as being possible.

In other words, normal.

Thanks, luckily i had something on hand to drill out a plug hole but not everyone would be so willing to do that i think. It's all good, i only needed one of them to begin with.
