Question about CAF

Do you have to use the reroll only on the initial dice roll? or can you use it after that? lets say your shooting a laser weapon at a vree ship with a hull 4. you get 4 dice and you only need 2+ to hit so lets say they all hit the first time. Normaly your CAF would be wasted right now but on the next roll you need 3+. If one of those missed could you use the reroll now?

Yes, CAF can only be used on the initial roll.

you're asking about beam weapons, in which you can only re-roll the first time. After that, you're inherently "re-rolling" the dice :lol:
so in your example above, if all the dice hit on the 2+, then yes your CAF is wasted.

Also note that CaF! is entirely wasted on Twin-Link weapons, since they already get a reroll, and only one is allowed on any roll.
