Plying the Bowman Arm, and more

Right now I'm finishing up a big adventure/campaign book to go alongside the Sword Worlds book. It concerns the adventures of a Sword Worlder merchant cruiser in Five Sisters and District 268.

And at the same time we're finalising the design details for another big project.

Really big.

As in, you thought the Great Rift was big? Nope, that's just peanuts compared to this one.

Can't say more just yet, but watch this space.

So...the Exodus Campaign? Covering Tinath to the Lesser Rift? 1000 parsecs give or take?

Bucketloads going with Traveller behind the scenes at the moment and today is the day that (apart from me) we have hit the staff illness bingo - I am currently holding the fort alone!

We need to herd some ducks around but, as soon as they are in a line, expect a string of Really Cool things for Traveller to be announced...

I on the other hand am plagued by a malfunctioning carbon monxide alarm, using my old glasses because my new indestrucitble ones... destructed. And my foot hurts because I tried to kick Nate in the face and he parried my instep with the shell guard of a gymansium sabre. That one we might consider self-inflicted.

Haha almost sounds like Matthew & Martin are in need of some vacation soon :)

I’ll raise a glass in your honor - might not help but it sure won’t hurt (me) either!

And I agree with others, sounds like a great time to be a Traveller fan :)

and finally, out of curiosity... a Sword Worlds merchant cruiser, I assume that’s an indigenous SW design and not a Leviathan?

Since we're now comparing middle age injuries, I sprained my ankle on Friday, but at least it was doing something slightly adventurous (whitewater rafting). One thing I had never really considered before is that if you get injured rafting, you're finishing the trip anyway. Absent getting winched up to a helicopter, there's only one way out of that gorge. The ankle isn't too bad, but the bruise is magnificent, so I have that going for me.

I was asked the other day 'what is wrong with you?'. I could still be there listing it all...

As to the ship, yes, it's an indigenous design.

Well, around here it’s common to begin a conversation with a variation of “hello, how are you?” Or “hi, how’s it going?” But of course no one expects an honest answer, though it’s fun to toss in something about what’s currently troubling you, just to see people’s reaction when they expect “good, and you?”

Looking forward to the Sword Worlds adventure, always loved the idea of a merchant cruiser campaign since the first time I laid eyes on the Leviathan!

Oculus Reparo

Need you some spiffy new TL15 super specs, they come with all the bells and whistles, allowing you to see both EM and IR and offer 200x zoom, plus they act as a HUD and can be tied into a map box or computer.

I managed to hurt my back this weekend moving a guinea pig cage...

Sounds like mine, been acting up the last couple of days, though didn't actually do anything in particular to trigger it.

Looking forward to the adventure, MJD. Sounds fantastic. I'm taking a break from refereeing Drinax and currently in two different games as a player. In one, I play the part of a Sword Worlder ex-colonist (from Gunn), one-time Aesirist, presently a wilderness guide for hire. My ref is running us through Mission to Mithril at the moment and we've having a lot of fun with it. Hopefully I can convince him to run us through your new adventure. Can't wait! :D

Seriously, I get it. Hard to keep a group together. Glad to hear you actually get to play in a game.

I'll come back to Drinax. After two years, I needed a break. Plus, I have a few Mongoose writing projects of my own to concentrate on. Let's just say the Trojan Reach is about to get a whole lot more interesting, if that's possible. Once again, I won't announce anything before Matt does.

Just read it this morning on the KS thread. Sounds as if it might combine elements of the Great Rift Set and Naval Campaign Sourcebook into one epic campaign. Can't wait to get a hold of it!
