One of the Federation cruiser models appears to have sustained a serious hit to its port warp nacelle. And it would be highly amusing if the USS Konkordium were to explode in the middle of that pack. :twisted:

More than a couple of Federation ships suffered similar types of "engine damage"
One oCL lost a nacelle...
Two CA's lost a nacelle...
And one CC suffered a catastrophic breakdown. It slipped while I was inserting it into the base. Now its in four separate pieces again...

The Klingons were quite careful about overkill during the last turn.
Several ships were reduced to crippled before they had a chance to unleash their full barrages.
Of course, this also meant that some ships didn;t receive enough damageot reach the crippled state and were able to fire...
but it was an interesting battle.

Great photos, Tony! I'm really sorry I missed it. Looks like quite a melee at the end there! I like the way you used those colored "stems" on the flight stands to differentiate players/squadrons.

Looks like the Feds did better this time.

I re-read the battle report from the first time you ran this scenario, and I "think" what happened that first time was you missed the scenario rule that says much of the Klingon fleet was inactive at the start of the scenario. There's no other way they could have pinned the Federation force back to the far side of the planet so early, unless the Fed players were totally timid and held back waiting for reinforcements.

I could have written the scenario with all ships on-map at the start of the scenario, but I intentionally wanted the slow build-up. I figured with too many ships at the start, all the heavies would go POOF! under mass fire, and then the Feds would have no chance to reach the BATS. I knew it would be a tough fight this way.
