Has anyone seen this movie yet? I saw the trailer and it looked awesome, very Hyborian age in its styling. It seems to have dropped off the radar for a release date in the Uk. Is it destined for straight to Dvd hell or does anyone have an idea of its cinema release date this side of the pond?

According to IMDB the movie opens April 27th in the UK. It hasn't received very good reviews but I still would like to see it too when it comes out. Here is where I found the info:

Looks like a crap 'Hair Metal' video to me but each to their own - seems to be an Eomer-shaped bland grey blur in the middle of it.

If you like your Hyborian adventures grim and icy, and you don't mind sub-titled films, I'd suggest the original Pathfinder film:

Ganconer-Thanks for the link and the info.
Doc-"Hair metal"?, I may be showing my age but hair metal to me is the likes of Motley Crue,Poison and(shudders....)Tiger Tailz. Never seen a c**k rock band doing that kind of video.
Personally,I thought that at least one of the scenes reminded me of Deathdealer art by Frazetta(or at least the Bisley art from the Verotic comic book series of about 10 years ago). Besides,if conan existed in this day and age he would probably be in the band Slayer or at least Manowar. :)
By the way,for anyone who is interested there is a new run of Deathdealer comics announced and due to commence at the end of April.

Conan in Manowar? Helloween I thought, although I'm not sure he could hit all the high notes - now I'm showing my age and past musical taste (or lack of  ).

Remember - 'All men play on 10, never gonna turn down again'

While we are on Conanesque films, I can see the Cimmerian turning up as an ally of the Spartans in '300':

He'd find a way to survive Thermopylae I'm sure.
