Paper Models?

Silverback

I've already performed a search and, unless I missed it, I can't find any mention of fan created paper models that can be used to expand the game. Anyone developed something like this yet?

Check out this site for various free buildings.

I'm already aware of that particular site and many others offering free paper buildings. What I was specifically after is Mega-City/Judge Dredd type scenery!

I haven't seen any aside from what comes in the starter kit.

I never liked paper scenery, I have never been able to get it to look anywhere nearly as nice as it does on the websites. The cardstock wants to warp with glue of once glued the edges want to come apart. I can actually make my own foamcore or DIT foam buildings in about the same amount of time it takes to print, cut assemble, rip apart, reprint and give up on the cardstock buildings.

I've been toying with the idea of creating some building 'shells' myself. Printing them out onto self adhesive inkjet paper and then sticking them onto foamcore sheets.

Try WorldWorks, they make some great stuff. The Streets of Mayhem series is perfect for GOMC1. Also try out Mars Station or even Firstlight. I tried out a sample of their stuff that comes on the CD in the Rezolution starter boxes and it's some really nice looking stuff.

A friend in my group went a step further and using Adobe Photoshop, used the patterns and glued them onto foamcore, making his own custom structures (that were more durable).

Hmmm . . . looks like foamcore may be the way to go. The only snag is that it's not as easier to disassemble, i.e. fold flat, and carry around with you!

Another friend of mine made an entire Old West Town using WhiteWash City paper model. He glued the paper to very thin Balsa Wood and assembled.

The roofs all come off and he was then able to stack the smaller buildings inside the larger ones. He could fit the whole town and a bunch of minis in an Army Transport.
